In our Film Workshop, the trainer works closely with the director to help actors find characters in the context of a specific film or web-series. The workshop is essentially used as a playground to explore and choreograph what could eventually play out on the set. This allows precious shoot time to be saved, and helps actors deliver well-prepared yet spontaneous and coherent performances.

  • We start with a detailed discussion with directors on the script and their vision for the film, such that the trainer can have a clear understanding of what they wants from actors vis-a-vis the characters they are playing. Each workshop is then designed as per the specific need of the film/show and its director.
  • The workshop offers a guided space where the director and the actor are able to connect and reach a mutual understanding on the characters, such that the actor is able to deliver a performance that is in line with, and adds to, the directors vision.
  • The trainer facilitates the journey of the actor finding the character by helping the actor access the characters thoughts, emotions and physicality. Thus the final performance is nuanced, organic and suitable for the world in which the story is set.
  • We also engage in exercises designed to help form connections between actors, and build relationships that allow for authentic give-and-take during performances.
